Sean Cooper

Sean’s climbing career began in 2001 when he entered the industry as a tower hand. He quickly found his niche and passion as an erector. He was soon overseeing all erections and modifications at Shenandoah Tower Service. He took on the training responsibilities at Shenandoah in 2007 and took 125+ climbers on their first tower.

Sean founded his own tower service company in 2014. He was a member of the NATE OSHA relations committee from 2011 to 2016. He helped write and edit the ANSI/ASSE A10.48 Criteria for Safety Practices with the Construction, Demolition, Modification, and Maintenance of Communication Structures. He remains on the A10.48 committee and is currently a member of the NATE Trade Show Committee.

After assisting longtime friend JP Jones with the Safety LMS program several times including a NATE event, a NATE/OSHA/Washington Gas event, as well as a Warriors 4 Wireless class, Sean became an advocate for the program and became passionate about teaching it himself.

Sean is currently the Safety and Training Coordinator at ERI Installations where he teaches the Safety LMS program to all new, as well as seasoned employees.

“When I was given the opportunity to become part of the SLMS team, I jumped on it. I believe in this program, and I’m honored to teach it. I make sure each and every student knows they have a lifetime resource in me. Its very rewarding to be contacted months or more later with questions about technical, equipment, and of course safety issues.”
