Control of Hazardous Energy is an introductory online safety course on the recognition and control of hazardous energy or COHE. OSHA has adopted and enforces the hazardous energy standard, sometimes called lockout/tagout or LOTO. The standard requires employers to recognize hazardous energy, assess risk, adopt control procedures, and train all employees who work on or around machinery and equipment in a hazardous energy control program.
Description
The Control of Hazardous Energy (COHE) online training course focuses on OSHA requirements for employee safety. You will learn the training requirements of the LOTO/COHE program, which includes recognizing hazardous energy sources, knowing the type and magnitude of the energies present, and the means by which the energy can be isolated and controlled.
